Ingredients (for 1 sandwich):
- 2 slices of bread (your choice: white, sourdough, or whole wheat)
- 2 slices of cheese (cheddar, American, mozzarella, or your favorite melting cheese)
- 2 tablespoons butter (softened, or use mayonnaise for a crispier texture)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Bread:
Spread a thin layer of softened butter or mayonnaise on one side of each bread slice. This side will go face down in the pan. - Assemble the Sandwich:
Place one slice of bread (buttered side down) on a plate or cutting board. Add the cheese slices on top, then cover with the second slice of bread (buttered side up). - Heat the Pan:
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. - Cook the Sandwich:
Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy. Use a spatula to gently press down on the sandwich to ensure even cooking. - Flip and Finish Cooking:
